Why showing up to yoga class matters more than “doing the poses right”.

One simple act can transform your energy, and even your community!

We’ve all had those days where it seems hard to make it to class. We feel tired, our mind is racing, we worry about parking, traffic, or life’s demands. But the thing is, every time you show up, even if you’re tired, even if you’re not on your “A-game” it causes a ripple effect!

Your presence really matters! More than you know. You breathing in class, could cause the person next to you to breathe just a little deeper. Your being in class, could make someone else feel good about the level they’re at. When you offer a smile, a kind glance or word, you positively shift the energy in the room.

You are all there for self-care, restoration, healing and all of that truly benefits the greater good. You showing up is a part of that.

Yoga is for everybody. We believe in participation, not perfection.

The inner work that happens at yoga is so profound that making your way to the mat becomes not just about yourself, but also about your family, friends, colleagues and everyone you associate with. The calm you get from your practice on the mat has ripple effects out into the world.

That’s why it matters that you show up :)

So the next time you come practice Yoga with us at South Park Yoga, just know you aren’t just doing yoga, you’re sending out ripples of calm , peace and kindness into the world, with each breath.
