YOGA FOR ARTHRITIS

Join Physical Therapist & Yoga teacher, Dr. Amelia Chang for a Therapeutic Yoga Workshop.

As we age, we may experience more joint stiffness or inflammation.

In addition, 1 in 3 (aged 50+) have increased risk of developing brittle bones, stooped posture and fractures. Many physical symptoms like pain, stiffness, and psychological stress and anxiety can be addressed through regular yoga practice.

Yoga comes in various forms. Yoga improves joint flexibility, strength and balance. With greater awareness of your body’s capability to move safely, Yoga can contribute to your healing.

IN THIS (2 hour) WORKSHOP, you will learn:

Do’s and Don’ts: Movements that are safe and movements to avoid in yoga and daily life.

- Perform 12 key yoga poses to help improve joint mobility, bone health and balance.

- Learn how to adapt poses to your level of experience or physical limitations. All levels are welcome.

- Begin a regular home practice.

This workshop is open to BEGINNERS and Yoga Teachers.

All levels incl. beginners and Yoga teachers are welcome FEE - $40
